Legal restrictions:
You can see the similarity ;-)
The copyright for all mentioned skins and functions of Winamp belong to Nullsoft Corp..
You have to download
Winamp itself and has to work properly on server side.
We are not responsible for any damage caused by the software mentioned above (direct or indirect)

The application RemoteControl is developed as a new application which can load skins (compatible too Winamp)
You can use all standard skins, only with the difference to control a personal computer which is e.g. located in another room.
over TCP/IP network.

How can you do that ?

You own an (old) computer and install RemoteControl Server Software
and Winamp 2.8x. In this computer you can install all your noisy harddisks and fans :-) and control e.g. your music with a laptop.
The control is based on Windows Net File Sharing. The server provides the filesharing directories.
This technology is also available for wireless network and included in Windows OS.

For advanced users and freaks: A server based solution for linux is in progress !
(it will be designed for users which already use a router with linux
and installed a soundcard and harddisk - DSL-Flatrate or something similar)

The main features:

- client software is running on Windows OS: (W95 reported by user), W98, WMe, W2k, W-XP
- network: TCP/IP (optional.: file sharing can be done with NetBEUI protocol - security reasons!)
- server shutdown or restart with the RemoteControl client-software - password must be valid
- users only control the server if they know username and userpassword
- playlist support
- advanced ID3Tag editor V1 + V2 !
- drag and drop support: you can simply drag MP3-files or directories on the playlist

A few features are different to the behaviour of Winamp, but you have enough time (30 days) to test the app.
If you have suggestions or changes please contact us, but please think of handy and easy features.
